#AFFCameroon Onsite Meeting in Douala
The new batch of 10 selected Fellows of our Africa Fact-checking Fellowship – #AFFCameroon have their first monthly onsite session in Douala, on 14 – 15 May 2021.
They will be trained on information verification using advanced online tools, digitals in Cameroon & mapping social media trends to develop techniques to counter mis/disinformation on social media.
#defyhatenow in Cameroon seeks to support those voices acting against the conflict to go ‘viral’ within and outside the country – bringing the diaspora into the online peace building framework, bridging gaps of knowledge and awareness of social media mechanisms between those with access to technology and those without.
