Ochan Hannington

Ochan is a journalism trainer, producer and freelance journalist, mainly for international news agencies as well as media development organizations. He is also a filmmaker. Currently, he is a publishing-editor at Cross-Border Network – a web of radio stations in both Uganda and South Sudan, (freelance) TV correspondent for Peace News (Washington D.C,) Development and Cooperation magazine (Berlin). Ochan consults often for DW Akademie as a journalism and digital trainer.
Ochan has been engaged in multimedia work for the past 14 years. He has been a part of the establishment of a few media agencies, mostly in South Sudan and Uganda, for international development organizations such as GIZ and Deutsche Welle. He is a former correspondent at Voice of America, and also worked as a sub-editor and reporter at Theniles.org.
