Online and Semi-Offline
Safe Spaces for Women

The objective of the Online and Semi-Offline Safe Spaces initiative is to create a supportive and empowering environment for women to engage in critical discussions and activities related to Media Information and Literacy (MIL), Gender-Based Violence (GBV) inclusive of Mental Health and Healing on Post-Conflict Trauma, and Cybersecurity and Privacy.

Empowering women to engage in critical discussions and activities

Our focus:

Media Information and Literacy (MIL)

In the digital age, media significantly influences opinions, behaviors, and amplifies voices. However, the rise of disinformation, hate speech, and harmful content necessitates equipping women with skills to navigate this landscape effectively. Gender-Based Violence (GBV)

The Gender-Based Violence and Mental Health Training Sessions for the Online and Semi-Offline Safe Space for Women are playing a vital role in raising awareness and equipping participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to address GBV and promote mental well-being. The ongoing program, with its well-structured methodology and interactive approach, is actively empowering women to foster safer and more inclusive communities.

Cybersecurity and Privacy

The Cyber Security Training Sessions for the Online and Semi-Offline Safe Space for Women are proving to be instrumental in boosting digital security awareness and skills among women in Ethiopia. The ongoing program, supported by a well-structured methodology and an interactive learning environment, is empowering participants to navigate the digital landscape safely and with confidence
