After signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Cameroon National Youth Council last February 9, 2024, the #defyhatenow team led by the project initiator Stephen Kovats and Desmond Ngala Cameroon project manager, shared pleasure of taking part in a productive working session with the President of the CNYC and team.
It is interesting to see how much both organisation’s goals intertwine as they aim to join forces to build a #HateFreeCameroon. Youth have a pivotal role to play in #PeaceBuilding processes & social cohesion.

#defyhatenow in Cameroon seeks to support those voices acting against the conflict to go ‘viral’ within and outside the country – bringing the diaspora into the online peace building framework, bridging gaps of knowledge and awareness of social media mechanisms between those with access to technology and those without.
