Africa Check in collaboration with #defyhatenow is hosting a two-day fact-checking masterclass in Cameroon for civil society organisations that work in the fact- checking, media literacy and media education space. 

Training will start from 9am to 4pm on the 25 – 26 July 2023. To register for the workshop, complete the form by 26 April 2023. PLEASE NOTE: Spaces are limited so don’t apply if you won’t be available to attend the two-day session in full.  Venue to be confirmed closer to the time. Accommodation and local travel will be provided.

The training will cover how and why false information spreads, the types of false information (dis- and misinformation), tips for spotting false information, and online tools for verifying images and video
